"canceled my mother in law's policy after a surprise inspection even after we explained that the house was being remodeled. After providing pictures of the remodel they still chose to cancel the policy because "the level of remodel was to extensive, and should qualify as a new build" even though we kept the original foundation in place and used the original framing for the house. When I asked for where I could find a written document that showed how extensive a remodel could be without being a "new build" I was told no. Keep in mind she had been a customer for 31 years before they canceled her policy, guess they didn't want her to keep her loyalty discounts."
